came across these this week, Will be placing one of them on ebay to test the waters... I have not seen any others yet.. but who knows how many are in the run as there is no Production numbers that I can find from the Federal Reserve (BEP). There was an 80,000 run of 2013 L star notes, of course I want this First run of A stars to match that production number....

Found another rare note, and got the whole BEP strap.
Have been watching for this, and was able to get the whole strap, 100 consecutive notes. Starts with 39999901 and goes thru 40000000. They are D ( Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank ) series 2013. This would also include a binary radar note ( 39999993 ).

Have been actively on the hunt for one of these!!! I have a list of "bucket notes" That I want to add to my collection. A full up ladder Five Dollar Federal Reserve Note ME 12345678 A Series 2013.
I now have two full up ladder notes, a 12345678 and a 23456789. With this one I was able to get the notes: 12345670 thru 12345679. Do not know how much that would add to the value of a "collection" having the additional notes.

Got this one from the ATM... A twenty dollar note, It is not cut right.... A fold during the printing caused other issues with the note.... Take a look!!!
I do not actively collect errors, but have some success for finding these. This one came out of an atm... Not only does it have a extra tab, It also has a green seal that has a part of it missing and the letter ( A ) at the end of the serial number is partially missing. I do not know if the series date has an issue as the date looks like 203, not 2013. I do not know if this is a printing space error. I will be looking at some other new series 2013 twenty dollar notes to see how they look. Also, the seal and the serial number are not where they should be.....

Pulled this note out of circulation, am amazed that it was not kept by the first person that spent it.. Am not going to complain since it now is mine... I have placed it in my collection next to the error hundred dollar note.

From a run or 320,000 notes..... the first run. the lowest serial numbers that I have found.
I do not usually check for star pairs in the five dollar note. But.... I came across a ten strap brick of notes from the BEP, ALL STAR notes. The first serial number of the brick ended with 9001, soooo I looked for the pair of stars and found these!!!

These were once rare, may now be come a little less rare.... new fed BEP printing policy
This is a a rare find, as there are only nine of these per run of notes, provided they go above 90,000,000th note in production printing. I obtained these notes serial numbers: C 89999999 C and C 900000000 C from a new sealed BEP brick of notes.

THIS IS THE FIRST OF THE SHORT RUN NOTES ( 640,000 PRINTING ) NEW STYLE FIVE DOLLAR STAR NOTE series 2006.
This is the first consecutive pair of the new FIVE ($ 5.00) dollar star notes that I have found. They were removed from a shrink wrapped brick of new notes. I also obtained the sticker from the brick as well. They are from the SECOND PRINTING/RUN, serial numbers IA03200001* - IA03840000* . The First Run consisted of 3,200,000 STAR NOTES SERIAL NUMBERS IA00000001* - IA03200000* 1st Printing.

A pair, one is a REPEATER
From The First Run of 320,000 notes for the Richmond Federal Reserve. (See, I have other notes besides Cleveland) The first note is a repeater note, The other note is a two step ladder note, 0028 0029.

2003 Cleveland District with two leading zero's, one of which is a "bookend note".
I had a pair with four leading zero's, a pair with three leading zero's and thought that I would include a pair with two leading zero's. From the information that I have found, The first Cleveland run consisted of a run of 10,000 sheets of 32 notes per sheet, for a total of 320,000 notes. The production run was in October of 2004. This pair of star notes were taken out of a shrink-wrapped brick of notes from the BEP. They were in a brick of notes from series 2003, Boston Federal Reserve. I do not know why they were not consecutive, as they were the last two notes in the strap. I have a few other Cleveland pairs that are not consecutive. Usually the notes that I obtain are consecutive. Would be interested in hearing if anyone knows why this happened.

More from the rare Cleveland District 2003.
A Cleveland District consecutive pair with four leading zeros. This was the lowest number of leading zeros that I collected for this District.

Passed on from my Grandfather, out of his wallet and into my collection.
My grandfather carried this note in his wallet for a good many years(unfortunately) and the note shows it. The note was given to me by my Grandmother after he passed away. He obtained the note Mint fresh (CHCU) and counter-signed by Ivy Baker Priest above the printed signature on the note. Still, it is of great value to me. It is a cornerstone to my collection.

    Rare and radar !!
Have had this note in my collection for some time now. Not only is it a rare issue, but a two digit (binary) RADAR note as well. Collecting consecutive pairs of Star Notes has become my true interest in the hobby, although a single star is a good thing.
